QUEENS SWEPT ASIDE…..

QUEENS 0-2 LIVINGSTON

In a game played in pretty awful conditions, Queens were unable to master the wind and rain that swept across Palmerston at the weekend, and visitors Livingston were able to record their first away win of the season, and their first win in Dumfries for 11 years. Although the conditions were the same for both teams, Livingston were able to get to grips with the situation, but unfortunately, Queens could not, and yet again the inconsistency of their performances shone through. A goal behind after just 6 minutes,Queens huffed and puffed without ever really causing the away side many problems, and even when they were awarded a penalty kick, that chance was spurned and when Mark Fotheringham-the games best player-added a 2nd goal for Livvy after 64 minutes the game was well and truly ended as a contest.

So for the second home game running Queens failed to find the net, and once again find themselves just one goal between them and Dundee at the foot of the table. Next game is away at Hamilton, a team that Queens have already beaten once this season, and hopefully it can be the first ‘double’ of this season.
