New signing Sam Parkin scored twice on his  debut against Morton at the weekend, as Queens moved themselves  off the foot of the table and increased their unbeaten run to a seasons best of 4 games. Queens probably shaded a pretty even first half, and when Parkin struck with 2 goals in seven second half minutes, it appeared as though the 3 points were in the bag. However a mistake led to Morton pulling a goal back with 15 minutes to go, and Queens became a little nervy, but fortunately were able to come through the last period and collect the points with a vital victory.

With the cup game at Aberdeen coming up, Queens will not be in league action until the following  week when they visit Ayr in a relegation battle-a game that could possibly define the season for Queens.
