VITAL GAME FOR QUEENS…

Queens entertain Livingston tomorrow in a vital 1st division clash in a game that Queens quite simply have to win. The games between the two teams this season have been pretty close, with Queens drawing twice at Livingston, and the ‘Lions’ claiming all 3 points in a 2-0 win at Palmerston back in October- a game in which Queens were pretty unconvincing.

With the season coming down to the last 3 games, any points gained at this stage are vital, and if Queens want to be playing 1st division football again next season, these coming 270 minutes must realistically yield a minimum of 6 points, and even that may not be enough, as both Ayr and Raith will have the same objectives. Queens are on a fairly decent run just now, although a win over Morton, Dundee, or Falkirk would have greatly helped the cause, but some games ago Queens would have probably lost those games and there has been a significant upturn in performances of late, and hopefully that will continue tomorrow.

There are some doubts over several players for the Livvy game, with Craig Reid, John Potter, and Stephen Simmons almost certainly non-starters, and there are also concerns over Danny Carmichael, and Stephen McKenna, but whoever is selected for the game, they will obviously be aware of just how vital a Queens victory is, and hopefully come 5 pm tomorrow, a Queens win coupled with defeats for both Ayr and Raith will see all 3 teams on 35 points with 2 games to play!! PB’s prediction is Queens 3-1 Livvy, with everything crossed!!!
