Lee first joined Queens on a loan spell from Rangers during the 2008/09 season, and he made his debut in a 2-2 draw at Morton on January 3rd. His home debut came 3 weeks later in another 2-2 draw, this time against Partick Thistle. During that spell at Palmerston, Lee, played 18 times, keeping a total of 3 clean sheets. At the end of that season, Lee left Rangers for Kilmarnock, and in July 2010 he returned to Queens for a second spell on loan playing in 10 games, only 2 of which were league games. His one and only clean sheet coming in a challenge cup game against East Fife.

One year later Lee returned to Queens, only this time on a permanent deal, and after making his first appearance of that season in the away defeat at Ross County, Lee has been an ever present in between the posts for Queens ever since, meaning that not only will the Stranraer game be his 100th appearance , it will also be his 72nd consecutive start. This season, Lee, along with Nicky Clark, are the only 2 players to have started all 32 league and cup games for Queens, with the Queens’keeper being the only player in the squad to have played in every minute of every game.
