Former Aberdeen player, Michael Paton , has joined Queens on a short term contract until the end of the season. The player has featured in a couple of reserve games for Queens, the most recent of which was the 3-3 draw against Rangers. The Striker/Midfielder has had loan spells at both Stockport County, and Brechin City where he scored 4 goals for both sides. A product of the Aberdeen youth set-up, Michael started a total of 25 league games for the ‘Dons’ scoring 4 goals. His last appearance for Aberdeen came in August 2011 when he came on as a substitute against Celtic in their single goal defeat at Pittodrie. He scored his last competitive goal in a game for Stockport County in their Blue Square Premier win at Bath City in October 2011, where he played alongside former Queens man, Ryan McCann. Michael will join the runaway 2nd division leaders for their final 11 league games, and of course the challenge cup final against Partick.
