Queens recorded league win number 27 with a comfortable win over South West rivals Stranraer. A goal in each half, the first a first ever goal for Kevin Holt, followed by Nicky Clark’s 35th goal of the campaign saw Queens seal a fourth league win over Stranraer this season.

There was also a competitive full debut for youngster, Pat Slattery who impressed in midfield alongside Derek Young. The product of the Queens youth set-up gave an admirable performance, and although he tired a little in the 2nd half, he looks to have a big future in the game which bodes well for Queens.

Leading scorer Nicky Clark took his tally against Stranraer to 6 goals this season, whilst at the other end, Lee Robinson and his defence completed a 17th league ‘shut out’as Queens eased to a comfortable win. The points total is now 85, and Queens now only need 4 more points to overtake Gretna’s record points total set in 2005/06, and with 4 more league games remaining, it is hard to see them not setting yet another record.
